Virginia Grasty Tucker

TUCKER, Virginia Grasty, 88, of Richmond, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016. She is survived by her daughters, Paula Dutton (Jerry) and Paige Tucker (Doug Morgan); three grandchildren, Jill Goodman, Jessica Smith (Bobby) and Emily Grady (Josh); and five great-grandchildren, Lucas, Madelyn, Sydney, Bronson and Lily. A native of Orange County, she was the devoted wife of the late William Paul Tucker, to whom she was married for 62 years. After attending Smithdeal-Massey Business College, she worked at Clement Insurance Agency in Culpeper. For all of her life, she enjoyed taking care of her family and her home surrounded by the gardens she loved. She was an active charter member of Skipwith Baptist Church. Gardening, needlework, reading, bird watching and making crafts were some of her favorite pastimes. The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 1, at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, December 2, 12 noon, at Skipwith Baptist Church, 1900 Skipwith Rd., Richmond. Memorial contributions may be made to the Henrico Volunteer Rescue Squad.
