Virginia Davis Dawson

DAWSON, Virginia D. 87, passed peacefully on December 3, 2014 surrounded by family and friends. She is now in ever lasting peace with the Lord. She is preceded by her parents, and daughter, Diane Hooper. Virginia worked until retirement and over 25 years with Virginia Federal S&L in Richmond and was the past President of American Legion Auxiliary Post 144. She is survived by her children, Steven Dawson, Raymond Dawson and Donna Anderson; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The immediate family will receive family and friends from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00pm on Sunday, December 7, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 8, also at Nelsen Funeral Home. Interment will directly follow the funeral service at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Dr. Sandston, VA.
