Victoria Zaharias Gilmore

Gilmore, Victoria Zaharias, 86, of Richmond, widow of John L. Gilmore, died Saturday, January 21, 2012. She is survived by her daughter, Sheila G. Wilson and her husband, Larry; three grandchildren, Laurence W. Wilson IV, John Gilmore Wilson and Sarah Victoria Merritt and her husband, Ross; one great-granddaughter, Libby Merritt; three sisters, Irene Z. Athens, Evangeline Z. Fitch and her husband Clark, and Alice Z. DiCola; also many devoted nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Gilmore was a lifelong member of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She was a retiree of Sears and Roebuck Company, and a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. Mrs. Gilmore was a devoted mother and grandmother, and was dearly loved by all who met her.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Interment in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
