Shirley Sue Webb, 78, a longtime resident of Varina, VA, entered her Heavenly Home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 3, 2014. She is predeceased by her parents Brice and Oral Childers; siblings, Vaughn Childers, Theda Webb, Thelma Robinson, Larry Childers; and grandson, Chase Bell. Shirley graduated from Pikeville College, in Kentucky, and taught for Hellier High School, in Kentucky, as well as teaching for many years at Fellowship Christian School and Landmark Christian School, in Richmond, VA. She ended her teaching career, substituting, at Henrico County Public Schools. Shirley was a member of Highland Springs Church of the Nazarene and truly enjoyed the times she spent with family and friends. She will be greatly missed. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 58 years Ronald “Gene” Webb, Sr; five children, Ronald G. Webb, Jr. (Robin), Teresa Englehart (Gene), Daphne Goodloe (Howard), Dawn Gallmeyer, and Diane Bell (Tim); one brother Rick Childers (Amy); seven grandchildren, Robert Webb, Adam Saunders, Travis Webb, Dave Nuckols, Stephen Gallmeyer, Bryson and Nolan Bell; six great-grandchildren, Greyson, Gavin, and Gabrielle Webb, Timothy and Brantley Nuckols, and Avery Webb; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 1:00-8:00 p.m., with funeral services on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. All services will be at Highland Springs Church of the Nazarene, 6003 Hawkes Lane, Richmond, VA 23223. Shirley will be laid to rest at Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, VA. All professional services will be handled by Nelsen Funeral Home, Richmond. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to Highland Springs Church of the Nazarene, 6003 Hawkes Lane, Richmond VA 23223.
