Shirley Harris Overstreet

She is survived by her loving daughter, Pamela H. Overstreet of Richmond. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren H. Overstreet and her parents, Russell M. Harris and Ollye H. Harris.

She leaves behind two sisters, Mary H. Sturgill and Rosiland H. Wiley, both of Roanoke and several nieces and nephews.

Shirley received her R.N. degree at Lewis Gale Hospital in Roanoke and practiced for several years before starting her family. She was a long-time member of Ginter Park United Methodist Church where she participated in the United Methodist Women and the Altar Guild. She also was a member of Tuckahoe Woman's Club and enjoyed many years of volunteering at Meals on Wheels with friends.

There will be a graveside service at Westhampton Memorial Park at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan 2, 2024.
