MAY, Shirley Green, entered eternal life on October 5, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Binford Green and John Irwyn Green. She is survived by her husband, William B. May; her sons, Bill (Joyce), Bruce, Robert (Linda); and five grandsons. She graduated from John Marshall High School and the College of William and Mary. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority, the Commonwealth Women's Club, the Tuckahoe Woman's Club and Trinity United Methodist Church. She was an avid cook, and no holiday party was complete without her Chex Mix. She was a loving mother and grandmother and devoted to her family, friends and church.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 903 Forest Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23229 on Friday, October 14, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
