Shaun Allen Sorensen

SORENSEN, Shaun, 29, of Sandston, Va., passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 9, 2014. Left behind to cherish his memories are his daughter, Emma Penycate Sorensen, who is just a tender four-years-old; parents, NaTasha Kasarda and Dale Sorensen (Dawn); grandmother, Joyce Boyer “Nanna”; his “Mama G”, Barbara Baldwin; brothers, Brandon Sorensen (Natalie), Kevin Flippo, Jr. (Rose); nephews, Alex, Matthew, and Andrew Sorensen; aunts, Dawn Boyer, Carol Dean (Johnny) and Elaine Bird; cousins, Killian, Sarah, Jesse, Katelyn, and Kevin; best friend and business partner, Ken Franklin; and many other family members as well. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Frank “Poppa” Boyer and Alfred Sorensen; and grandmother, Barbara Sorensen. Shaun was a wonderful dad to Emma, as she was the love of his life. He treasured every moment he had with her. Shaun was a 2002 graduate of Varina High School. He was the founder and CEO of Eagle Medical Transports, LLC. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him: his family, many friends, and his Eagle Medical Transport family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, Va. 23231, with a visitation one hour prior.
