She retired from Philip Morris after 33 years of dedicated service. Sharon was an avid lover of animals, especially Cocker Spaniels and birds. She also had a passion for gardening, both plants and vegetables.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Josephine Weinberg. Left to cherish her memory are her partner, Scott Moen; children, Ronald Swerkes (Mary), Jennifer Smith, Karli Sharp-Brown (Tim); grandchildren, Samantha, Michael, Matthew, Emilee, Madison; great-grandson, Gianni; and cousin, Sandy Deitz (Calvin).
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 29, at 2 p.m.
Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Richmond SPCA or an animal rescue of your choice.
