Sharon Faye Farmer Mason, 68, was born on September 7, 1946 and passed away peacefully on June 10, 2015. Formerly of Roanoke, Virginia, she lived in Richmond for the past 7 years. She was preceded in death by her dear mother and father, Ruby W. Farmer and John Edgar Farmer, and her brother-in-law, Harold McGuire. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert L. Mason. She is survived by her brothers, Robert Farmer (Ruth) and Michael Farmer (Shelia) and her dear sister, Annie McGuire. She is also survived by her nieces, Lori Ferguson (Ron), Deana Buck (Steven) and her nephews Kevin Farmer (Diane) and Keith Farmer (Heather). In addition, she is survived by her loving grand-nieces and nephews: Emma Buck, Annie Buck, Will Ferguson, Christine Ferguson, Ashley Farmer, Kimberly Farmer Pijanowski, Carson Farmer, and Craig Farmer. Sharon will be missed by her special family friends Joevette Malcolm and Joanita Senoga. She will also be missed by her loyal cocker spaniel, Molly. Sharon was a woman of faith, and delighted in spending time with her family. Prior to retirement, she worked for the Hospital Corporation of America, including Henrico Doctors’ Hospital.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd, Richmond, VA. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11:00 am, at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 9155 Hungary Road, Richmond, VA.
