Sharon Waddell Herke

HERKE, Sharon Waddell, 64, of Richmond and Kure Beach, N.C., passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Waddell. She leaves to cherish her memory her adoring husband of 41 years, Jerry Herke, with whom she enjoyed living and raising their family in many exciting places including Chicago, Australia, Texas and California; devoted sons, Daniel Herke, Mark Herke and Brian Herke (Shelley), all of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Trenton, Joshua, Abigail and Samantha Herke, all of Dallas, Texas; father, Marion Waddell of Richmond; siblings, Ron Waddell (Beth) of Charlottesville, Greg Waddell (Jane), Donna Brown (Chip) and Lisa Yonce (Page), all of Richmond; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2012.
