Sarah Weston Wood

WOOD, Sarah Weston, 85, of Richmond, died Thursday, March 11, 2010. She was the widow of Harry D. Wood, and is survived by four children, Delphine W. Anderson (Paul), Wayne H. Wood, and Denise W. Hicks (Rob), all of Richmond, and Charles D. Wood of Vero Beach, FL; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Virginia Alburtus Ahlum of Kutztown, PA, Helen W. Lyles of Richmond, and Mary Ann W. Faircloth of Orangeburg, SC; two sisters-in-law, Rebecca Jackson of Wylliesburg, VA, and Dorothy D. Weston of Orangeburg, SC.

Mrs. Wood worked for Dominion Resources for 35 years and retired in 1989. She was a longtime resident of Three Chopt West Apartments and more recently resided at Emeritus At Deep Run Assisted Living.

The family will receive friends 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Parham Chapel Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, where services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Emeritus At Deep Run and Hospice of Central Virginia for the care they rendered to our Beloved mother.
