He was preceded in death by two longtime wives, Jean Q. Allen and Roselind B. Allen; and sons, Russell “Rusty” King Allen III and Lee Alfred Allen.
Buddy was a World War II Army veteran, a Bronze Star Recipient and a German POW. He retired from C&P Telephone Company in 1978. Buddy Captained his own Charter Boat; The Buddy-Lee out of Deltaville, Va., for 38 years. He was a member of Westhampton United Methodist Church.
Buddy is survived by his son, Wesley B. Allen (Sheila); grandchildren, Brian Lee Allen and Tara Allen-Mayo; and a large extended family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2021, at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229, where a funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Interment will follow in Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Ave., Richmond, Va. 23238.
