Ruby Bowers

She was a loving mother and a great friend to all who knew her. She retired from Henrico County Schools and was a member of the Eastern Star. She loved nature, horses and the ocean, especially Nags Head.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ebbin Ballard and Eunice Virginia Ancarrow; brother, Ebbin Ballard, Jr.; sister, Diane Baldwin; and half-sister, Cindy.

She is survived by her sons, Richard Loving and Randolph Loving; grandchildren, Ryan Loving and Jacob Loving; half-brothers, Jerry Douglas, Larry Ballard, Richard Ballard, Donny Ballard and Clayton Ballard; a host of cousins, nieces and nephews; and close friends, Judy Koci, Sylvia Crew, Jean Seay and Cassandra.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 18, at 2 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Virginia 23231.
