Ruby Jean Baker

Ruby Jean Baker, a resident of Westport Nursing and Rehabilitation Center,Richmond ,Va., went to her Heavenly Home on Friday, March 6, 2020. Born November 18,1935, she and her twin sister were the daughters of Virgie Irene Parker and Journey Ernest Baker. She graduated Bridgewater High School in 1953. Ruby graduated from Rockingham Memorial Hospital School of Nursing 1956 and retired from Maguire VA Hospital in Richmond in 1999. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Juanita B Pirkey of Waynesboro, Nellie B Losh of Briery Branch, Jacob E Baker of Stuart’s Draft , John D Baker of Bridgewater, Ruth I Baker of Franklin Va. and two nephews. She is survived by sister-in-laws, Mary Baker of Culpepper and Bonnie Baker of Stuart’s Draft, Va. , three nieces and three nephews. She had many great nieces and nephews. Kristi Saunders, a great niece of Richmond, was her care taker for the last four and half years.

A graveside service will be held at the Mt Crawford Cemetery in Mt Crawford, Va. on Sat April 4 at 11:00 a.m.
