Robert Fields

Robert “Bobby” Fields, 68, born in Petersburg, VA and husband of Rosemary Perkinson Fields of Chester, VA passed away at home on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 from complications from pancreatic and liver cancer. Bobby attended Matoaca High School in Chesterfield, VA and worked for Defense General Supply Center for 42 years. He enjoyed camping and boating at Buggs Island with his wife Rosemary. He loved and never hesitated to help out family and friends and known by all to be a jack of all trades 😊 He will be truly missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary, daughter Barbara Scott Smelley (Scott) of Chester, VA; father, Clarence Fields (Irene) of Sutherland, VA; mother and father-in law, Dorothy Mayer (Charles) of Mathews County, VA; one granddaughter, Courtney Locke Irving (Mark) of Carson, VA; four great-grandchildren Bentley and Tyson Tuner and Emma and Kinsley Irving. He is also survived by his brother James “Jimmy” Fields (Brenda) of Chesterfield, VA and June Fields Bryant (Steve) of Sutherland, VA. He was predeceased by his mother Georgia “Ann” Vaughan Fields of Petersburg, VA. A memorial will be held at Chester Christian Church in Chester, VA.
