He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Norman Gordon, Sr. and his brother, David Gordon. Bobby retired from Greeley & Hansen as a civil engineer and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church for 37 years. He earned his bachelor’s degree from John Brown University in Arkansas. Bobby enjoyed carpentry, fishing, restoring cars, reading, cooking, traveling, singing, photography and videography, and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family. Bobby was a kind and loving man with a heart of gold.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 42 years, Arlene Soriano Gordon; children, Christopher Anthony Gordon (Michele), Andrea "Annie" Frances Gordon Wade (Everett), Angelica Susan Gordon; mother, Margaret Frances Gordon; siblings, Jonathan Gordon and Stanley Gordon; sisters-in-law, Suzanna Gordon and Jackie Gordon; grandchildren, Bella, Kalli, Joshua, Jacob, Isaac, Anna, Lily Belle, Layla Sofia, Kaitlyn, Blake; many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends; and his special dog, Cody.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, 3868 Antioch Church Rd., Sandston, VA 23150.
Interment will follow in church cemetery.
