Rita Josephine Moseley

Rita Davis Moseley went to be with the Lord Jesus on Dec. 2nd 2023. She joins her beloved husband Lee Butler Moseley who is awaiting her at Heaven's Gate. Rita leaves behind her devoted daughter Jennifer Fuerte and her husband Jeff Fuerte,Sr., her grandchildren Jeff Fuerte,Jr., Andrew Fuerte, Tiffany Fuerte, and Nicolas Fuerte, great grandchildren, Jacob, Diana, Natalie and Skylar, a brother, Russell Davis. Rita was the daughter of Russell and Elaine Davis. She graduated from Hermitage High School, Westhampton College of the University of Richmond, and received her masters degree in Education from VCU. She taught Latin and English at John Marshall High School in the city of Richmond for 30 years. Her retirement years were spent taking vacations to Myrtle Beach with her husband and grandchildren. For many years she was a faithful member of Clover Hill Baptist Church where she served in the Golden Age Ministry preparing food for luncheons and as secretary for her Sunday School class. She leaves behind many wonderful friends at Clover Hill Baptist with whom she was faithful in keeping in touch with through cards and phone calls after she was unable to attend church due to health problems. Rita loved working in her flower garden, cooking, decorating for all holidays, visiting historic places in Virginia, reading, and doing embroidery. A graveside service will be held Saturday Dec. 9th at 10 AM at Westhampton Memorial and Cremation Park, 10000 Patterson Ave. Richmond, VA. Please make donations in her honor to the Women's Missionary Fellowship of Clover Hill Baptist Church, 3100 Courthouse Rd. North Chesterfield, VA 23236.
