Richard Allen Martin, 86, of Charles City, passed away August 28, 2015. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Ellyson; and stepson, Angelo Franceschi. Richard retired from American Tobacco Company with many years of service. He is survived by his wife, Adell Martin; daughter-in-law, Pam Franceschi; two granddaughters, Angela Ozmon (Jeffery) and Theresa Hayes (Matthew); two great-granddaughters, Natalie and Madison Ozmon; and a great-grandson, Benjamin Hayes. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 29, 2015, from 3 to 6 p.m. and Sunday, August 30, 2015, from 2 to 5 p.m., at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a funeral service will be conducted on Monday, August 31, 2015, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
