Richard Louis Hadden

Survived by Bonnie his lovely wife. His much loved daughter Susan (Chris) and his grandchildren Joey and Lia to whom he was affectionately known as Papa Chick.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by sisters Shirley and Betty and brother Robert.

Richard was a graduate of East Carolina University and had nearly a 40 year career with Universal Leaf Tobacco Company where he served several executive positions and was fortunate to visit many of Universal's foreign operations.

He was a consummate golf duffer who never had a hole in one.Not even one! he was however a past member of Richmond Country Club where he served as president of the senior men's golf association.

In retirement, he volunteered at Goochland Cares in the food bank.He was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Ordinary People Sunday School Class.

A memorial service for Richard will be held Friday, November 1, 2024, 2:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 903 Forest Ave, Richmond, VA 23229. Interment will be private.
