WILLIAMS, Reginald W. "Reggie," born November 13, 1926 in Richmond, died December 7, 2015. He was preceded in dead by his brother, Dr. G.P Williams Jr.; and cousin, Ronald Robertson. His survivors are sister-in-law, Dr. Mitzi Williams of Winston-Salem, N.C.; niece, Lisa Kline and husband, Jeff, and their daughters, Caitlin and Kelsey of Mooresville, N.C.; nephew, G.P. Williams III and his wife, Shawn, and sons, G.P. Williams IV, Ben and Luke; cousins, Barbara Robertson, Ann Williams Jones and husband, Joe, of New Canton, Va.; special friends, Tom and Nancy Garton, Curtis Tyndall; and other friends.
Reggie served in the Air Force, in Italy, during WWII. He graduated from the University of Richmond in 1951 with a degree in Psychology. His career was in the area of Human Resources Management, retiring from the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1986. He was a member of Westhampton United Methodist Church since 1935, having served in most lay capacities during his membership.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his church. Visitation will take place at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, on December 10, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held 12 noon Friday, December 11, at Westhampton United Methodist Church, 6100 Patterson Ave., Richmond. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. in Westhampton Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow at the church immediately after the graveside service.
