Rebecca Boothe Sydnor, 83, of Richmond went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 14, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Sydnor. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Seal (Kenny); grandson, Kenneth T. Seal; sister, Leahona Johnson; brother, Leonard Booth (Brenda Ann); niece, Debbie Vivan (Stewart); nephew, Allan Booth (Denise); and several great-nieces and nephews. Mrs. Sydnor was a retired LPN and a former member of New Bridge Baptist Church and currently was a member of New Hope Community Church. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue Richmond, Va 23231. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18 at Oakwood Cemetery, Richmond, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Hope Community Church, 6475 Parish Rd., Providence Forge, Va 23140 or Henrico Volunteer Rescue Squad, 5301 Huntsman Rd, Sandston, VA 23150.
