Rebecca Lynn Harris

Rebecca Lynn Chappelear Harris, 46, passed away on Sunday April 21, 2013. She was born on February 25, 1967 in Bluefield, West Virginia to Janice Chappelear Nicowski and the late Larry Chappelear. A Goochland High School graduate, Rebecca received the top student nurse award and completed nursing training at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. Through her nursing career, Rebecca served in Richmond at Retreat Hospital and, in Goochland, at the Meadows Nursing home. She also served as a private nurse, and, most recently, as a staff nurse for the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Correction.

Rebecca and her beloved partner Timothy Paul Roberts died in an automobile accident near Richmond, Virginia. She is survived by her mother Janice, her loving son Brandon Harris, her brothers Alex, Adam, and Casey Chappelear, aunt Cheryl Morrison of Danville, VA. and a very special friend Darlene Duffy of Goochland, VA.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00pm at the Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, and the funeral service will be at the funeral home on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00am with interment following at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery.
