Nicholas Kent Mays

Born on August 17, 1989, Nick came into this world with a lust for life and the great outdoors. An avid hunter, whether in a duck blind, a tree stand or on the water fishing; he loved nature. He was a huge history buff and loved relic hunting, pick-up trucks, tattoos, The Carolina Tar Heels, and his ride-or-die black lab, Loretta Lynn. He lived more life in 33 years than most can ever dream of. He had a wicked sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He had a huge heart. Nick loved God, his family and his friends. He never met a stranger and would go without to help others.

When circumstances beyond his control left Nick wheelchair-bound, he faced each new challenge with amazing strength. He fought relentlessly to regain his mobility and freedom. His struggle was real, his pain great, but he hid it all behind a beautiful smile. Nick got his wish on Sunday, October 9, 2022, and God rewarded him a new pair of legs and a pair of wings. We will love and miss you forever. Fly high Sweet Baby Boy.
