DURVIN, Nelson C., Jr., 94, passed away in Richmond, Va., on June 30, 2017. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth. He is survived by his daughter, Dolores D. (Len) Stables, Summerfield, N.C.; granddaughter, Kelly S. (Chris) Underwood; and a great-granddaughter, Emma R. Underwood, Stokesdale, N.C. He was a WWII Army veteran serving in the Asiatic/Pacific Theater and a recipient of The Bronze Star. He was past captain of John Marshall High School Corps. Of Cadets, F Company; a Shriner and a Diamond Jubilee 60-plus year Master Mason. He was a good man. His family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, at Woody Funeral Home-Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, Va. 23229, where his funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Interment in Westhampton Memorial & Cremation Park with military honors.
