Nancy Ann Satterwhite Bradley Williams (89) entered into eternal rest on September 20, 2018. She is the widow of M. Blanton Bradley, Sr. and is survived by her loving and wonderful husband, George Martin Williams. She is also survived by her two children, M. Blanton Bradley, Jr. and his wife Cynthia Cave-Bradley and Rebecca Bradley Baker and her husband Kenny Baker, her sister Mary Lee Hedgpeth of Silver Spring, Md and her sister-in-law Carole E. Bradley (Lyman Davenport). She is also survived by her three grandchildren Melissa Stein (Mike), Scott and Sarah Baker and her three step-grandchildren Bobby and Jamie Baker (Megan) and Erin Ferguson (Mike). She was fortunate to have 8 great grandchildren, Jackson, Lily, Tabby, Samantha, Jessica, Damion, Samantha, and Jacob. Also lots of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Florence Satterwhite, and her brother Kenneth, and her sisters Lillian, Marjorie and Christine.
Mrs. Williams had been an active member of Ginter Park Baptist Church since 1947 where she had served as a deacon, VBS Director, Teacher of 2 & 3 year olds, member of Chancel and Belle Choirs, Director of S.S., Chairman of Family Night and Head Teller. Mrs. Williams was a member of the We Can Do S.S. Class. She had been an Avon Representative for 15 years. She worked as a volunteer for many organizations such as Heart, Cancer, Lung, March of Dimes and Diabetes. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Ginter Park Woman’s Club where she served as Treasurer and President several times.
Mrs. Williams loved her flowers, birds, and her fish pond.
Mrs. Williams was a resident there for 2 years. The family will hold a Celebration of Life where they will receive family and friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon on October 6, 2018 with a Memorial service at noon, followed by a reception at Hermitage Richmond,1600 Westwood Avenue Richmond, Virginia 23227. Mrs. Williams remains rest at Woody Funeral Home Parham Chapel, 1771 N Parham Road Richmond, Virginia 23229. Private interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
