went home to be with her Lord November 22, 2023. She was preceded in death by two beloved husbands, J. Raymond Moore and Alfred M. Powell Sr. She is survived by her son Kenneth R. Moore (Brenda), her daughter Cheryl M. Reynolds (David), step-son Alfred "Merrill" Powell Jr., step-daughter Carol Russell (Doug), grandchildren Ray Moore (Caitlin), Christopher Moore, Anna Folliard (Patrick), Jenny Ryan (Connor), Melissa Strout and Sydney Russell; greatgrandchildren, Mary Grace and Matthew Moore, Katie Ryan plus one more on the way. She is also survived by her brother Eldridge Stanley (Eula).
Her home was always open to her children's friends whether trading baseball cards or playing ball games in the back yard to tea parties and Barbies inside. She enjoyed having Easter Egg hunts for her grandchildren and many family cookouts together. She loved her family. Mildred also devoted time and energy caring for her neighbors when they were in need. She was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a former member of Forest Heights Garden Club. The family would like to thank the Care Committee and Trinity Stitchers at Trinity United Methodist Church for their cards, calls and prayers; especially, Donna Story, Betsy Atkins and Rev. Judy Oguich for their visits and support. Thank you to the staff at Shalom Gardens Senior Living (formerly Beth Shalom) for their care the past four years. We are forever grateful to Bon Secours Community Hospice House for the exceptional and compassionate care of her and to us in her final days. A visitation on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm at Woody Funeral Home-Parham. A Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 1pm at Woody with interment following at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
