Mildred W. Miller

She was born to the late John and Lucy Wright in 1926. She retired as a legal secretary in 1992 with more than 30 years of service. Mildred was an active member of Grove Avenue Baptist Church for over 65 years serving as a Sunday school teacher and as a greeting minister.

Mildred was proceeded in death by stepson Frederick A. Blake; her three sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her son Michael S. Miller and stepson Robert K. Blake (Nancy); step granddaughter, Carol Wagner (Rob), step great-grandsons’; Blake and Brandon.

The family will receive friends at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd, Richmond, VA 23229 on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 for visitation at 12:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow afterward at 1:30 p.m. The committal service will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave, Richmond, VA 23238.
