WOOD, Michael Langley, 71, of Gum Spring, VA, died peacefully on Monday, January 23, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine Maloney Wood and Langley Harriss Wood. Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Pamela Wood Irving and her husband John Wolfs Irving of Warren, NJ, Patricia Wood Wingfield and her husband Gregory H. Wingfield of Richmond, VA, Duncan Langley Wood of Elon, VA, Robert Harriss Wood and his wife Taylor of Winter Park, FL; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Mike loved restoring his vintage Volkswagen Beetle and was an avid genealogist In his retirement, he took it upon himself to restore his family’s rural farm cemetery in Louisa County and make it a peaceful and beautiful monument to his ancestors.
