The Richmond Carpenters’ Union has lost one of the pillars of our foundation. We are weakened, and saddened, by this loss. Pat was a long-time, dedicated, valuable member, very active for decades. Even when in disagreement, his sense of humor prevailed.

We grieve for ourselves, but we joyfully commend our brother to “the place from whence no traveler returns, that house not built by hands, eternal in the heavens”.

Hey Pat,
I figured something was up when you didn’t answer or return any of my calls. You didn’t look too well the last time I saw you. 
I’m going to really miss you a lot. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you over these last few years and the talks we’ve talked and there’s been a lot.
I know your up there in heaven looking down upon us. You were really one of the good guys. Love You buddy, Rest In Peace!!! Who am I trying to fool, You’ll be up there running all over the place keeping busy as usual. You know where I live, so don’t be a stranger, my door is always open to you. Take Care.

It saddens me knowing that Pat has passed away.   He was a good guy with good stories.  I'll miss his one liners and jokes. - J.R. Taylor

We want to send our sympathy to Pat's family.  We have lived next door (literally) to Pat for over 37 years and have shared many experiences.   He was certainly a unique person and although we didn't always agree on certain issues, we always were able to work things out, mostly by just letting Pat do things his way!  Jack and Mary Salmon
