Maxine "MAC" Maupin,95, of Richmond died at her home surrounded by her family, on June 16, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Rae Maupin, her sisters and a brother. She was a proud graduate of John Marshall High School, class of 1940 and a charter member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. Working with the youth groups was her passion and she participated with the Richmond Metro Work Camp frequently. At the age of 85 she learned to hang sheet rock for Habitat for Humanity. A proud Democrat she worked the polls on election day into her 80s. She loved to travel, reading, the Atlanta Braves and NASCAR much to her families surprise. In recent months, as her body failed her, her response was always “No complaints”
when asked. She lived her entire life with grace and dignity. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all.
