GREEN, Max, 100, of Highland Springs, completed his earthly journey, leaving behind the torment of dementia on May 22, 2018. He joins his wife, Dorothy V. Green; son-in-law, Raleigh M. Sears; faithful dog, Tart; and all six of his siblings. Surviving are daughters, Brenda “Mickey” Green, Sandra “Dee Dee” Sears; two grandsons and their wives, Shawn M. (Terri) Sears, Shane M. (Carolyn) Sears; three great-grandchildren, Mandy (TJ) Higgins, Noel “Skeety” Sears and Raleigh Sophia Sears. Also, special nephews, Eddie and Buzz Moore; devoted friends, Richard Almond and Reggie Barnett. Max was an Army veteran and a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was a faithful member of New Bridge Baptist Church since the age of eight. Max never met a stranger and was always ready to help anyone in need. Special thanks to Anna Pitt, George, and all of the caring staff at CCM for their past care. Also, to the staff of Hanover Regional ER and the entire hospice team’s compassionate care in his last days.
