Mathew Vaughan Stricklin

Mathew Vaughan Stricklin, age 33, passed away on March 19, following a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Richmond, Mathew attended Freeman High School. While he had many interests, Mathew’s passion was computers and video games, and he served as co-host on a popular YouTube gaming program watched by millions of viewers. He was also interested in a wide variety of music, was knowledgeable about guns and enjoyed visiting the shooting range. Mathew was a proud doggie dad to his feist-mix Gunner, and appreciated spending time with his friends and family, especially during the holidays. Mathew was pre-deceased by his brother Michael, grandparents Edward and Frankie Abourjilie, and aunt Denise Abourjilie of Richmond, and grandmother Peggy Grimes of Portsmouth, VA . He is survived by his loving parents Rebecca and Michael Stricklin, great-aunt Alice Rodriguez of Richmond, and uncle Richard Stricklin and family of Richmond, VA, and uncle Charlie Abourjilie and family of Greensboro, NC. Visiting hours will be Thursday, March 28, from 12:00 – 1:30 pm, immediately followed by a brief Memorial Service at Woody Funeral Home – Parham, 1771 North Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229.
