Marty was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mildred Riedy; brother-in-law, “Muzz” Muszynski; and nephew, Troy Muszynski.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Maroney; sister, Marilyn Muszynski; brother, Carl Riedy (Judy); sister-in-law, Linda Maroney; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved hound, Cleo.
Marty spent 32 years as a computer programmer/analyst for various DOD agencies with the Federal Government. After retiring, she pursued her love of creating stained glass and fused glass art. Marty also loved spending time at Lake Gaston in the RV and her “pool time” with her buddy, CJ.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday October 17 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. A reception will follow the service.
