Marjorie McKenna Hazelwood

HAZELWOOD, Marjorie McKenna, 83, of Richmond, died Monday, June 28, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and John T. McKenna; son, Spencer T. Hazelwood Jr.; daughter, Dale H. Eastman; and husband, Spencer T. Hazelwood Sr. She is survived by three granddaughters, Jennifer H. Trent, Lynda H. Boutchyard and her husband, Miles, and Dana S. Walters and her husband, Ben; also several nephews and a special niece and godchild, Beth Bruner; a special family friend, Teresa "Teesie" McKenna; and great-granddogs, Matti, Barkley and Fritz.

"Margie" enjoyed a rich, full life traveling to Ft. Lauderdale for many winters, boating at Windmill Point and hosting many parties and family dinners. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday (today) at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, where services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment in Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or the A.S.P.C.A.
