BURNS, Marion Throckmorton, 92, of Sandston, answered God’s call on November 22, 2016, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, James H. Burns. Marion is survived by one sister, Barbara Oates. She was blessed with five loving daughters, Norma Fisher, Bonnie Cheatham (Earl), Linda Edwards (Ray), Robin Wade (Chuck) and Pam Davis (Greg). “Granny” was loved and cherished by her nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and a very special angel, Regina Ewell, who cared for her Granny in her last weeks. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
