Marguerete Newcomb Jackson

Marguerete Newcomb Jackson, 95, died peacefully in her sleep in the afternoon of September 11. After a brief illness, God called her home to join her beloved husband, William J. Jackson Jr. (Billy); and her only child, Julia Ann Jackson Blantz. She is survived by her sister, Mae Newcomb Holder; and her brother, George C. Newcomb Jr.; six nieces and nephews, Richard Nunnally (Susan), Becky McMullin (Gary), Billie Jean Brockman (John), Jonathan Newcomb (Jonni), Jennifer Roberts, Kevin Newcomb (Catherine); one stepgranddaughter, Diane Blantz (Greg); eleven grandnieces and nephews, and three great-grandnieces. A lifelong member of Sandston Presbyterian Church, she truly loved her church family. She was a Virginia 4-H All Star, active in the Sandston Women’s Club, and a charter member of the Sandston Founders Club. There will be a private burial followed by a celebration of life at Sandston Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 17, at 12 noon.
