Maewood Banks Jones, age 99 passed away at her home on Dec. 29, 2022. She was born in Whitesburg, KY to Susanna and Nathan Banks. She is the last surviving child.
Maewood is survived by her five children and caregivers: Marsha McCready, Frances Hines, Carolyn Gitschier, Donald Jones, & Clark Jones. As well as many wonderful grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She loved gardening, canning, cooking, quilting, and most important she loved to work at Safeway at Tuckernuck.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service starting on Jan. 11th 2023 at 1 PM at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. in Richmond. Interment is private at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
