Lydia Ann Corbett

Lydia Ann Corbett, 75, of Aylett, Va. passed away on August 18, 2022 peacefully at her home. Born and raised in Shanghai, VA; she spent most of her life in Glen Allen, Va. where she was a loyal member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Robert Marvin Corbett in 2013.

She worked as a dispatch operator for Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad where she met her husband and later worked for Toledo Scale. A devoted wife, Lydia was the sole caregiver for her husband when he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis until his death.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Corbett Baxter ( Joe) of Aylett; son, Marvin Courtney Corbett (Sara Catherine); granddaughter, Savannah Elizabeth Baxter; brother, Carlisle Bland; sisters, Brenda Lynch, Elaine Bland, Jean Bland, and niece, Sarah Bland (Krystal). She was the daughter of Carlisle Tazewell “Tat” and Marjorie Ann Bland, Shanghai, Va.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 2pm in Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Ave., Richmond, VA.,
