Louis Earl “Bubba” Timberlake, Jr., 70, of Mechanicsville, departed this life Thursday, October 2, 2014. He was the son of Lucille W. Timberlake and the late L. Earl Timberlake, Sr. Bubba was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local # 10 for 17 years. He was the president of C & E Mechanical for 29 years and Certified Well & Septic for 14 years. He was a member and deacon of Black Creek Baptist Church, president of Twin Rivers Coon Hunters Association, member of Old Church Hunt Club, member of Mechanicsville Business Men’s Association, member of the Sandston Moose Lodge # 1937 and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 41 years, Evelyn Taylor Timberlake; son, Louis Rhea Timberlake (Heather); grandson, John Earl “Jet” Timberlake; sister, Pat A. Neiger (Tom); brother, Glenn Eric Timberlake (Mary Lou); three nieces; one nephew; eight great-nieces; and three great-nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, October, 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231. Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 6, at 11 a.m. at Black Creek Baptist Church, 6289 McClellan Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Black Creek Baptist Church or a favorite charity. Arrangements under the direction of Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory, Richmond, VA.
