Lorraine Dunkum Roeder, 75, of New Kent, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2015. An avid bowler, she was a member of both the Tuesday Night Ladies League and the Tuesday Night Mixed League. She enjoyed golfing and was a lifelong Redskins fan. She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Bruce Roeder, Sr., and son Franklin “Bruce” Roeder, Jr.. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon and son-in-law, Wade Condrey; grandchildren, Stephanie and Paige Condrey; and Brother, Jean Dunkum, as well as many friends who will miss her dearly. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 5 from 2-5pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond VA 23231. Services will be held at 3pm on Sunday, September 6 at Providence United Methodist Church, 4001 New Kent Highway, New Kent VA 23141. Interment will be held at Washington Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 8 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimers Association, www.alz.org/donate.
