Lillian Mathews Snyder, 78, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Veronica Mathews. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Kenneth; children, Karen Wynne (Robert), Mary Snyder, Bridget Crim (Ben); a brother, George Mathews, Jr. (Joyce); grandchildren, K. Michelle Taylor (Sherrod), Nathan Matthews, Stephanie Noel (Gabe); great-grandchildren, Breanna Norris, Patrick Taylor, Jasmine Matthews.
Lillian was born and raised on “Oregon Hill,” a member of Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and graduated from Cathedral High School. She was retired from the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. Interment will follow at Westhampton Memorial Park.
