Kenny retired as Body Shop Manager from Colonial Ford Truck Sales in September 2019. For over 45 years, Kenny worked in the heavy truck body shop industry. He was well known and respected by many in the field. Insurance adjusters were dependent on his ability to not only repair trucks to perfection, but also to write the estimates. Kenny operated his body shops with high expectations and had employees who remained loyal to him for over 40 years. He believed his employees and customers should be treated with respect and dignity. Kenny always had time to listen to and encourage each other's opinions and input and he had empathy for every person's life situation. Kenny mastered the ability to validate other people's contributions and to understand their difficulties and successes going on in their personal life. His impact on those around him was profound, and his memory will undoubtedly be cherished by all who knew him.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Owen Grubbs, Sr. and Dorothy Spicer Grubbs. He is survived by his fiancé, Susan V. Warren; his son, Kenneth O. Grubbs, III; daughter, Tina M. Craft (Kenny); granddaughter, Kayla M. Craft; his best friend that he called a brother, Gene Suggs; and he leaves behind many beloved fur babies who loved him dearly: Sophie, Molly, Jaxs, Sammie, Amber, and all those who went before him. You never saw Kenny sitting alone. He always had one or more on his lap.
