Kelly Sirles Miller, of Richmond, died suddenly on January 19th, 2023 at Dogwood Terrace. She was born January 9, 1957 in Covington, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her father, Jack W. Miller, Jr.
She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth (Betty) Sirles Miller, three sisters, Diane Miller Bumgarner (Keith) of Atlanta, Georgia, Sharon Miller Cage (Tom) of Beaverdam, Virginia and Jacqueline (Jackie) Miller Congdon (Jeff) of Key Largo, Florida, ten cousins, eight nieces and nephews, and seven great nieces and nephews.
Kelly graduated from Meadowbrook High School in 1975 and then from Mary Baldwin College in 1979. After college graduation, Kelly was employed by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles where she stayed until her retirement in June, 2022.
Kelly was a member of First Baptist Church in Richmond. Her family often delighted in watching their services on television and seeing Kelly in the congregation enjoying the hymns. She loved to sing and she had a sweet, melodic voice. She loved the Lord and had a deep faith in God.
Kelly could remember anything and knew lots of facts. We all relied on Kelly to know an address, a phone number, a birthday, and we clamored to have her on our team when family game night involved trivia.
Kelly had lots of friends and she would do anything for people. She was loving and kind. She adored her nieces and nephews and was always interested in their lives. She will be deeply missed. Kelly dearly loved her dad, and it is fitting that she will be buried right beside him.
The burial and service will be at the Mausoleum at Westhampton Memorial Park, 1000 Patterson Avenue, Henrico, VA at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. There will be a reception at the home of Jackie and Jeff Congdon after the ceremony at 820 Lachlan Road, Manakin Sabot, VA 23103.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to First Baptist Church, 2709 Monument Avenue, Richmond, VA 23220.
