DERINGER, Mr. Keith Mitchell, 63, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015 after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas M. Deringer and Jean S. Philpy; stepmother, Jane Flower Deringer; and stepdad, B.D. Philpy, DVM. He is survived by his loving wife, Sara Deringer; brothers, D.M. Deringer, Brooke Philpy, David Deringer, stepbrothers, B.D. “Flip” Philpy and Donald Philpy; sister, Nancy V. Philpy; and several nieces and nephews. Keith was an artistic photographer and maintained a website, www.keithderinger-the-art-of-photography.com. He was also a licensed ham radio operator (WA4KD) and an avid collector of music. He retired from the Virginia Department of Health and was also a retired Respiratory Therapist. He loved all animals and will be sorely missed by his beloved cats, Spooky Tooth and Habibi.
