HANKS, Katie "Kitty"
B., age 95, widow of Melvin K. Hanks Sr., went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 6, 2010. She is survived by her son, Melvin "Ken" Hanks Jr. and his wife Arlene; two daughters, Betty Jean Williams and Barbara Duck; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Parham Chapel Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Virginia. Please make online condolences at
