Kathryn "Kathy" J. Lewis

Kathryn Jane Lewis passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Born in Cambridge, England on December 31, 1952 to Jane Love Lewis and the late Charles R. Lewis, Jr. Kathy was preceded in death by her brother, Robbie and her infant sisters, Patty and Margaret. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Charles R. Lewis III (Edi); her sisters, Carol Chervenak (Mark) and Anne Young (Wayne); and sister-in-law, Barbara Lewis. Kathy was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, Leslie Leggett (Craig), Philip Chervenak (Lilly), Emily Chervenak, Nicholas and Connor Young, and Allie, Kate, and Claire Lewis, and her great-niece, Caroline Leggett. Her family in Virginia Beach, South Carolina, and Georgia will also miss Kathy. The family would like to express their gratitude for the care Kathy received from the staff at Hanover Health and Rehabilitation Center and Memorial Regional Hospital in Mechanicsville. The family will receive friends on Saturday February 22, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; a memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, Va 23231. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
