Katherine Marie Hawkins

Katherine Marie "Kitty" Hawkins HAWKINS, Katherine Marie Ford "Kitty," of Richmond, passed away peacefully Monday, February 22, 2010, at Manor Care Nursing Home. Born in Richmond, Va., on April 20, 1922, Mrs. Hawkins is survived by her daughter, Patricia Gail Holmes Garverick; her brothers, Oscar Ford and Leon Ford; her grandson, Christopher Garverick; four great-grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Graveside services at Riverview Cemetery to follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
