June Claudine Wood

WOOD, June Claudine, 89, of Henrico, VA peacefully departed this life on August 21, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick P. Wood and son Edward V. Wood (Melanie). She is survived by her three sons, Stephen (Patsy), Thomas and Mark Wood; one sister, Joyce Crenshaw (Walford); daughters-in-law Francine Fontana, Melanie Wood and Elaine Forman; nine grandchildren, Brian (Page), Christopher (Samantha), Tara Davis, Reece Wood, Dallas and Samantha Wood, Stephanie Gasper, Everett and Colleen Wood; five great grandchildren Bennett and Bexley Davis, Frederick Wood, Francesca and Aiden Gasper.

Born in Charlottesville, VA, June graduated from Lane High School in 1950. Soon thereafter, she met and married Frederick and they settled in Richmond, raised their family and remained during retirement. Her family was the light and love of her life.

The family is extremely grateful for the love, care, and friendship from all of her neighbors and friends.

A private memorial service and interment will be held at Westhampton Memorial & Cremation Park.
