June was a lifelong member of Laurel Hill United Methodist Church and retired from Philip Morris.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Holmes Sr.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bill Holmes (Mary), Robert Holmes (Ann); five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Affinity Care Hospice for their loving care and support.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org/donate.
