SLAUGHTER, Joyce Wash, 84, of Sandston, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Elsie Wash; and a sister, Peggy Atkins. She is survived by her husband, Roy “Sonny” Slaughter; children, Bo Slaughter (Mary Catherine), Lynne Bew (Bubba), Donna Massey (Jess), Bill Slaughter and Cindy Brown (John); eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 3, at 11 a.m., at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
